Paradise Park Cafe view from the street

I was driving around Oakland with my friend Molly and she spotted Paradise Park Cafe. Suddenly, she remembered how good it is and insisted I check it out. We found tons of street parking out front. We walked in to discover a very large cafe compared to the ones I’ve been in so far, it has tons of seating both inside and out. Looks to be a good place to bring your kids, there was even a play area.

Ordering in Paradise Park Cafe

We stepped up to read the menu and decide on something to order. They have breakfast food, smoothies, organic juices, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and soups. It all sounded so good. Molly ordered an iced latte with a house-made quinoa burger and fries. I went with a medium cup of coffee with a vegan breakfast burrito.

Conveniently there was a plug near our table, so we were able to charge our computers. Plugged in the password “darngoodcoffee” and connected to their wifi. I got up to find out more about this cool cafe. Paradise Park Cafe is family-owned and operated since August 2017. They strive on serving fresh, locally sourced California style dishes into the uncharted territories of comfort food. “Building community through local artists, great food, music and just plain good old fashion love for our neighborhoods,” as it states on their website. I knew this place seemed cool, but it exceeded my expectations.

Our food was delivered to the table and it looked tasty and it was! My coffee was fresh and full of notes, it put me in my happy place. I tried Molly’s iced latte and it was very tasty. This is just a really neat place to check out, they even had a Gats mural on the side of the building! Gats is a very well known Oakland, CA-based street artist.

This place was happening! I was pleased to find out that they have two very clean bathrooms. I’ll give them a 10/10!
